Our vintage signs are made from local plywood or galvanized steel.
Steel signs come with holes in the corners for hanging. Each hole is reinforced with a grommet. The edges are “hemmed” (folded over) for quality and durability. The steel signs are preferred for outdoor use. They have a vintage appeal, especially for automotive signs.
Local plywood signs… you might be wondering, why plywood? Plywood is a sheet material (spruce) made from layers of wood veneer. The grain is alternated for strength and stability, then glued, heated and pressed to form a rigid panel. The plywood surface contains wood-grain variations, knots and minor imperfections (just like wood!). The end result is more “homey” and relaxed.
