The world-famous “Going To The Sun Road” in Glacier National Park is a scenic wonder filled with awesome vistas. From the West entrance, as one travels along the East Shore of Lake McDonald there is a sign that states simply “Trail of the Cedars.” This trail happens to be one of the few handicapped accessible trails in this park and it is a quiet gem amidst all the big scale splendor of the Logan Pass area. Trail of the Cedars marks the easternmost presence of the Western Red Cedar and Hemlock habitat. Walking among these old-growth trees can be transformative.
