Poppies, poppies and more poppies a field of poppies stretches to the horizon. How does a place come to have so many poppies? This natural phenomenon is called a super bloom and it is a rare desert botanical phenomenon in which an unusually high proportion of wildflowers whose seeds have lain dormant in desert soil germinate and blossom at roughly the same time. The phenomenon is associated with an unusually wet rainy season. The desert areas of California experienced a super bloom of poppies in the spring of 2019. As can be expected, John has captured the riot of orange blossoms in a broad field with a low hill as the focal point of the background. Designers looking for a contrasting color pallet could use artwork like this to set off a room in an exciting way while creating a powerful emotional response.
Depth + Design: Metal box art pieces are unique as they truly are a box. The sides are folded adding three inches of depth, which raises off the wall by 3 inches. Additionally, the design wraps on all sides making it 3-D.
Material: Using aluminum material, these boxes are extremely lightweight and can be hung with one small nail. We also included a crossbar with a notch that is perfectly centered, taking the guesswork out of centering your piece.
Size: Each panel measures 21 in wide x 42 in tall x 3 in deep. We recommend spacing each panel 2 inches apart.
Display: Box Art can be displayed indoors or outdoors as our materials (ink & aluminum) are weather-resistant.
