The word bonefish to an angler means fun, excitement and adventure. Bonefish are found in shallow coastal and island waters. They are called bonefish because of the large number of tiny bones that are found throughout the meat. For most people that means catch and release and with bonefish that’s the most fun anyway. What makes it fun? You catch these big fish with a fly on light line and then play them as they fly all over trying to getaway. There are resort lodges dedicated to bonefishing so it is not surprising that Ed Anderson would bring his unique perspective to this subject. Vibrant colors are the first thing that strikes the viewer about this artwork, then there is the big black eye and that gaping mouth. There is a sense of movement and the impression that this big fish is hanging out in shallow water. Fishermen are seen above the line of the water bringing the dynamic of danger and action to the painting. Since bonefishing is a catch and release affair, one of Ed’s bonefish box art paintings would be an awesome memento of a bonefishing experience. Maybe there is a bonefisher in your circle of friends. If so, this 18x26 inch aluminum box art is the perfect gift for his man shack or her she shed. At Meissenburg Designs LLC we print Ed’s artwork onto a sheet of aluminum with the dimensions we want. Then we fold the edges to make a box with 3-inch sides. Corners are rivetted and a bracket is attached to the back for easy mounting. Lightweight and durable, ready to hang right out of the box, indoors or out. 100% made in the USA. From locally sourced materials.
