Aroostook State park Sentimental Series Sign - Aroostook State park

This series of decoupage-style park signs commemorate the flora, fauna, indigenous animals and maps of each area. Aroostook was the first designated state park in Maine gaining that stature in 1938. Located in Presque Isle, it features Echo Lake and miles of hiking and cross country skiing trails. While the park's forest provides homes for larger species like black bear, deer, moose, and Lynx, its smaller species such as foxes, squirrels, beaver, weasels, and chipmunks are more commonly seen by visitors. The forest's mix of hardwood trees and cold-tolerant softwoods typical of northern Maine includes various species of oak, ash, maple, and birch, as well as hop hornbeam, quaking aspen, American beech, and balsam fir. Common birds include hawks, owls, finches, hummingbirds, nesting families of bald eagles and woodpeckers including pileated. Brook trout, as well as other trout, are found in Echo Lake. This wall art is a stunning celebration of this wonderful park and features a quote by Jamie Wyeth. Available in 3 sizes of wood, our signs are substantial and durable lasting for many years which is why they become heirlooms over time. Our wood signs are made from locally sourced engineered wood and come with a sawtooth bracket mounted on the back. Wood signs are intended for indoor use only.
